Summer is practically here, hot weather means hot fishing!
Inshore-
Fishing inshore this week we can expect lots of Snook, Snapper, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, and a few Summer Flounder. Fishing white baits or live shrimp will guarantee success. Plugs like crystal minnows, top waters, and mirror lure sub surface baits will also find desired results with multiple casts. Early morning an late afternoons will achieve better results. First light and sunset are excellent times to target Tarpon with great success. Snook fishing is usually good all day and night just know where to fish based on tides can be the tricky part. Lots of Big Jack Crevelles are roaming the river beaches and ocean as of lately.
Nearshore-
Fishing nearshore this week has been steady for Snapper, Snook, Goliath Grouper, Sharks, Cobia, Bonita, Kingfish, & even a few sailfish. Also running closer to shore along local beaches we can find Snook, Tarpon, Permit, Kingfish, Sharks, & Cobia. Fishing with live sardines, Crabs, Shrimp and larger jigs will be your baits of Choice nearshore. Nearshore charters are typically best early morning an late afternoon during summer months. we catch fish all day long but typically our best bite comes early morning or late evenings.
Offshore-
Fishing offshore this week has been good for Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Snapper, Grouper Amberjack, Almaco Jack, Kingfish, & Cobia. Trolling has been most effective for targeting mahi, Salfish, Tuna, & kingfish. Bottom fishing has been good bot on anchor and drifting for Snapper, Grouper and Amberjacks this week. Kite fishing with live baits has been a great way to target sailfish with great success. Slow trolling live baits with Mylar dredges will draw in all kinds of pelagics as well. Summertime fishing in stuart offers many oppurtines so be sure and take advantage of this great fishery!
